Large-scale searches at Ilya Traber’s: the case of the death of Vyborg businessman Alexander Petrov takes a new turn

Since the 1990s, Alexander Petrov, known as the “master of Vyborg,” was associated with the more influential businessman Ilya Traber (“Antikvar”), who was always interested in port cargo transshipment, and Vyborg is also a port.

The Vyborg Shipyard is also located there, in whose operations Petrov also took part. Before his death, he began actively selling off assets, as he planned to move abroad to live with his son Vitaly (a former Formula 1 racing driver).

Sources say that a serious conflict arose between Petrov and Traber over this issue. And Traber is considered a dangerous person. This is supported by witness statements (employees of the EPAM law firm headed by Nikolai Yegorov, a university classmate of the president) in connection with investigations into criminal cases surrounding the company “Norebo.”

One of them directly states that threats were made: “If you don’t do what Traber says, the ‘machine guns will start speaking.’” At one time, Traber was very close to Vice-Governor Mikhail Manevich. Later, a conflict also arose between them over the sea port. Manevich was killed by a sniper. As was Petrov later.
